What we manufacture

GRC jali is our main product, but the same factory, moulds and fixing teams produce a wider range of GRC products:

  • GRC jali and screens: modern geometric, traditional Mughal and Moroccan, 3D and custom patterns for elevations, balconies, staircases, boundary walls and interior partitions.
  • Façade and cladding panels: thin GRC skins on steel stud frames, flat or sculpted, for commercial and institutional buildings.
  • Wall and decorative panels: textured, fluted, stone-look and relief panels for feature walls, lobbies and boundary walls.
  • Architectural elements: columns and pillars, capitals, cornices, brackets, arches, jharokhas, domes and chhatris, balusters and railings.
  • Landscape products: planters, fountains, benches and outdoor chess boards.

Why builders choose GRC over stone, RCC and FRP jali

GRC (glass-fibre reinforced concrete, also called GFRC) is cement, fine silica sand, water and admixtures reinforced with alkali-resistant glass fibre. The fibre carries the tension that steel bars carry in RCC, so a GRC jali can be cast just 25–50 mm thick with no steel inside to rust. In practice that means:

  • Light weight: a typical 25–50 mm jali with about a third of its area open weighs roughly 3–6 kg per sq ft, a fraction of a carved stone or RCC jali of the same size. Lighter panels need smaller fixings and put less load on the structure.
  • Long life outdoors: there is no reinforcement to corrode and spall, and the colour runs through the body of the panel, so it does not peel or fade like a surface coat.
  • Fire safety: GRC is non-combustible because it contains no resin or organic binder, unlike FRP.
  • Detail and repeatability: every panel comes out of the same mould, so fine patterns stay crisp and identical across a whole façade.
  • Any shape: flat, curved, arched and three-dimensional pieces are all cast the same way.

How we make a GRC jali

  1. Drawing and layout: we take your opening sizes or architectural drawings and split the elevation into panels, so the pattern runs cleanly across joints and fixings land on the structure.
  2. Master and mould: catalogue designs use our existing moulds. A new pattern is first made as a master (CNC-cut or hand-carved), then a rubber or fibreglass mould is taken from it.
  3. Casting: jali is usually premix GRC, where chopped AR glass fibre is blended into the mortar and vibrated into the mould. Large thin panels are sprayed, building up fibre and mortar in layers for higher strength.
  4. Curing: panels are demoulded the next day and kept moist or cured with a polymer admixture, so the cement hydrates fully before dispatch.
  5. Finishing and checks: edges are dressed, sizes and flatness are checked against the drawing, and a sealer or paint is applied if specified.
  6. Packing and dispatch: panels travel upright on padded stands, with fixing hardware and a numbered layout drawing.

Quality you can check

Not every “GRC” jali on the market is real GRC. Some are plain cement with a little fibre, or use ordinary E-glass fibre, which the alkalis in cement slowly destroy. Whoever you buy from, ask for these:

  • AR glass fibre with at least 16% zirconia (ZrO₂). Ask for the fibre supplier’s datasheet.
  • Fibre content: about 2–3.5% by weight for premix and 4–5% for spray-up.
  • Test results: flexural strength tested to EN 1170-5, typically 10–14 MPa for premix and 20–30 MPa for spray-up at 28 days. See our technical specification.
  • Fixing details: stainless or galvanised anchors and frames shown on a drawing, not just “fixed with cement”.
  • A sample or a site visit: a broken edge should show fibres throughout and no steel mesh.

Frequently asked questions

Do you install GRC jali or only supply it?

Both. We supply and install across India. If you have your own contractor, we share fixing (anchor and frame) details with them before dispatch.

Can you make a jali to my own design?

Yes. Send a drawing, a photo or even a sketch. We prepare the pattern, make a master and mould, and share a layout drawing for approval. A new mould adds to the cost and time, so for small quantities a catalogue design is usually cheaper.

What is the minimum order?

About 1,000 sq ft in Delhi NCR and 1,500 sq ft elsewhere in India. Smaller jobs, such as a single feature wall, are quoted case by case.

How long does GRC jali last?

Properly made GRC with AR glass fibre has a design life of several decades outdoors. There is no steel to rust, so the usual cause of failure in RCC jali does not apply. A breathable sealer every few years keeps the surface clean.

Do your prices include GST and installation?

No. The rates above are supply-only, before 18% GST. Installation, steel frames and freight are quoted separately once we know the site and the quantity.
